P.a.M. Hints
- Playing an arena monster gives better experience than any of the other missions.
- When you first start out, giant bat will be the best monster available to you, since they do good damage (for their level) and can usually survive a couple hits. If you spawn as one and then get hurt, run to one of the safe rooms and wait until you're back to full health. It's just faster than if you got killed and had to play a few weaker monsters until you spawned as a giant bat again.
- If you see someone asking for a heal, chances are they're at less than half the max hitpoints. This means, a couple hits might be all you'd need to get a kill. If you can attack them before they get healed, do it.
- Because of cleric's ability to heal, you will almost never be able to kill one. This also applies to paladins, though to a lesser degree, as they tend to concentrate on trying to kill you, sometimes at the cost of allowing their own hitpoints get low.
- Look over everyone when you have several targets to choose from. You'll be looking for anyone who's in the mod to grave range, or has low quality armor, or is an easy-to-hit class (sorcerors and necros are the easiest, assassins, monks, and morphed druids are the hardest).
- Team Work. I can't stress enough how important it is coordinate your attacks. 3 or 4 monsters working together can score a kill much easier than any of them could by themselves.
- Whenever something drops as a result of a player or a monster dying, it is in your best interest to pick it up. By grabbing these items you prevent your targets from buying mana/pots and better weapons/armor, which in the long run makes them easier to kill.
- Avoid arenas overcrowded with players. If you stay there, you'll probably get one-rounded.
- Look for arenas where there are monsters with the same name. If someone tries to attack you, you won't get hit as much.
