Nix's Guide For The New Sorceror

Welcome to Realms of Kaos, this is wonderful game especially when you sort of know what you are doing. So this tutorial will hopefully help you on your way in Syndar.

Introduction
A small word about stats: Intelligence is the most important stat for a sorcerer; it determines how powerful your spells will be. You do not really need strength. Agility is how much you are able to dodge attacks. Endurance determines how many hit points you will have. Wisdom determines how much magical resistance you will have (so that when someone /thing casts you will unaffected). Charisma is how pretty you are (although I heard a rumour that it affects your hit points aswell).

First Steps
You will first wake up in the tavern
People listed on the right are people in the same room as you. To move around type ‘e’ and press enter to move east one square. You can move north, east, west, south, up and down. By typing the beginning letter of each of those lets you move around in those directions. You are in the City of Terra. http://www.rokworld.com/wiki/index.php?title=Terra Map of Terra.
Have a wander round, but don’t leave the city!
The red is how many hit points (hp) you have, then this gets to zero, you will die. The green is how many attacks you have left, you will start with one, then as you level up you will receive more. The blue is how much mana you have, it costs mana to casts spells, two ways of increasing mana are: sitting in a temple (more about that later); and buying mana stones from the magic shop. All of these things will increase in your level increases.
This tells you about your stats. The ones on the left are the ones you chose when you were making the character. Exp (experience) is how many experience points you have, it helps you know how many more you need to get onto the next level (exp does not reset itself after levelling up. Level is what level you are on. Armour is how much armour you have, it goes from 0 – 100. Gold is how much gold you have on you, at the start of the game you will have 30 gold on you.
Buying armour
Right, first off you will need some armour, so off you go to the armour shop.
A bound cloak will not be dropped if you die. Keep in mind that cloth is the only armour that sorcerers can wear. You will need to equip the cloak for it to have effect.
Right click on the cloak and click equip. Most of the other options on the right click menu are self explanatory, cast just lets you cast spells on the items (something which you won’t do for a while).
Buying spells
The great thing about sorcerers is that we have no weapons to worry about. So before you can go and kill things you need to buy your first spell. Remember the tavern? Go back there and go down. You should now be in the tutorial, if you read the room descriptions it will tell you more about what to do. Find the mages guild.
Click on burst – 10. This will give you the burst spell.

Buying items
You might find that you character is getting thirsty or hungry, don’t fret! All you need to do is go to the supply shop and buy a waterskin or some rations. When you go into the supply shop click “Buy items” then click on what you would like to buy. These things will be dropped when you die.
Levelling
When you get to an arena you will need to make sure you are in full health, then pull the chain, type ‘pull chain’ or click the button.
type ‘c burst slime’ or the name of the monster you trying to kill. You can also type the start of the name to make it more effective.

Therefore you should kill something you “have div on”
If you are Earth (Hommet) kill Goblins , Mushroom Men and Kobolds. If you are Ice/Water (Alustria) kill Hell Rabbits. If you are Fire (Targos) kill Giant Bats.

Temples
(Make sure you go into a temple of your divinity.)
Temples are quite useful, it is usually where you wake up after dying. Be careful if you go to a new town to not walk into one unless you want to stay in that town and you can get back to your original town without dying. Go to a temple when you are injured or have little mana, you will see that the temple help you to regain these faster. You can also buy cheap healing from temples.

About the Author
Nix was raised by a tribe of Mushroom Men in a small cave outside of Terra. In her late teens she began to foster an interest in non-fungi related social situations. Unsurprisingly it wasn't long before bright light fever hit her and she donned her loin cloth and headed to the Syndarian capital!
Upon entering Terra her first stop was the local tavern. As far as we know she has been sitting there ever since (to be fair she doesn't just sit there... she sometimes lays in the corner also).
This is not Nix's first publication, her homely cookbook "Hell Rabbits: 101 recipes mum used to make", remains a culinary bible to many. She is the founder, treasure, secretary and sole member of the "Human Sorceror's Rights Foundation" and accepts any donations happily.
