Introduction
- Class Tiers: Healer - Cleric - Priest
- Requirements: 12 Str, 12 Int, 12 Wis
- Experience points to level 25: 270 million exp
- Difficulty: Easy
Don't let the innocent name fool you, once a cleric gets Vanos, these heavily guarded defense machines are nearly unstoppable, but lack in the offensive department. They can equip most armor, but can only use blunt weapons such as hammers, staves or claws, and have Ray, a moderate offensive spell. Level 22 Clerics have the ability to endow armor and weapons with a blessing from the god of their divinity, increasing it's potency and at level 16 a Cleric can, using a moonstone, bind an object to the soul of it's bearer. For this class I would recommend the subtle and defensive type, who wouldn't like trouble but can stand up to it and who maybe enjoy helping others with an occasional heal.

Character Templates
Listed here are popular character templates for Clerics:
The Casting Cleric
- Elf Str:12 Int:21 Agi:21 End:19 Wis:17 Chr:20
This cleric is focused purely on casting (what clerics do best!). A Half Elf could produce a similar character with higher Wisdom and lower Intelligence. In this example I have chosen the extra charisma for more HP but you may prefer to add wisdom instead as it has some effect on mana (though to what extent it is hard to tell).
The Tank Cleric
- Dwarf Str:12 Int:16 Agi:19 End:22 Wis:19 Chr:17
With their high HP and natural dodge a Dwarven Cleric is hard to take down. However lower intelligence means more fizzles.
The Battle Cleric
- Half Orc Str:19 Int:15 Agi:19 End:22 Wis:14 Chr:12
Half Orcs mana and HP regenerates at 4 times the normal speed, this has made them a good choice in some players eyes for the cleric class. Their high endurance and strength means that you could see yourself dealing some melee damage with this character (though still minor compared to Monks and Assassins). Half Orc's low intelligence means that fizzling may be problematic however 6 points can be taken from strength to add the +1 bonus to intelligence giving the character Dwarf like stats but with the Half Orcs regeneration.
The Power Cleric
- Gnome Str:12 Int:23 Agi:20 End:16 Wis:22 Chr:12
This Cleric was designed in principle to be behind a Guardian at all time. Extremely high Intellect and wisdom ensure vanos of over 500, lifetap of over 300 and alot of mana to fall back on. Recommended for the power players that have the gear to protect this.
The Speedy Tank
- Halfling Str:12 Int:20 Agi:24 End:17 Wis:19 Chr:12
This is your basic pvp/event priest. It will be nearly impossible to take down ss'd and hasted. Warning only for experts.
The Bandwagon
- Human Str:12 Int: 20 Agi: 20 End: 21 Wis: 20 Chr: 12
This cleric once leveled to priest should have a hardy amount of health, also with a good vanos this priest build is probably one of the best and most used builds currently, Assuming you have a decent amount of armour of course ;)
Equipment for a Cleric
New Clerics
These are the best items available to you in the Terra and Gaia shops. Work on getting these items as soon as possible.
Novice Clerics
These items are largely available in Trollheim. Work on getting them Soulbound, but it's best not to attempt the spell yourself until you are at least level 16. Anything lower has a good chance of fizzling and you'll lose the 10,000 gold moonstone and use up all your mana for nothing.
Dual Claws can be picked up fairly easily by completing the Terra autoquest that rescues Prince Mavin from the Goblins of Vetra Isle. Most veteran players don't bother trying to sell them, but you can sometimes find someone giving one away or selling one cheap.
Experienced Clerics
- War Hammer or Steel Claws (for those with cash, a Divine Hammer)
- Plate of Thorns or Titanium Plate Mail
- Buckler or Whalebone Shield
- Leaf Helm, Dark Helm or Coral Helm
Soulbound knapsacks full of manastones are essential to have with you at all times, at least 4. This equipment is available around Fort Mordu, Forestia, New Alencia and Freelance or far off in Dar Khandal. It's quite a walk to get out there, and items are expensive, but if you can afford it, they are the best store-bought items in game.
Veteran Clerics
- Divine Hammer, Hammer of Destruction or Worg Claws
- Crystal Mail
- Whalebone Shield or Clam Shell
- Coral Helm, Leaf Helm or Dark Helm
The Crystal Mail is found in Donas Dobhar or Caernelin for about 55k and the Clam Shell can be picked up for about 75-100k depending on your luck. Whalebone Shields are sold in Dar Khandal for 48k and Coral Helms are 55k
Elite Clerics
- Hammer of Destruction/Worg Claws
- Diamond Armor/Plate of Justice
- Heaven Shield/Betrayal Song/Enigmatic Aegis
- Mask of Valest or Obsidian Circlet
The crème de la crème of One a Days, giving a perfect 100 AC and costing well over a two million gold all together if you are trying to buy them. If you are lucky to join a good clan and make good friends by now, you can join on One a Day runs and get them for free.
Above and beyond this you'll want brilled items, or questies, but if you're new, stick with what's listed above for now.
