What is a Clan?
Clans are a very intricate part of Realms Of Kaos. There is a sense of brotherhood or family when you are apart of one. The players in the clan grow together within the game, learning more about each aspect of the game along with your fellow clanmates. As you play together with your clannies, you may bond a friendship with certain people. You are able to use a specific clan channel to talk to all of the members of your clan at one time. This makes it much easier to chat or contact people for different things. Also clans play a large role in the daily events held by staff and will greatly aid in obtaining OADS.
Clans have four level rankings:
- Member - Bottom tier of the clan. No invitation power.
- Captain - Able to invite people,
- General - Able to invite/kick people and /cnews =)
- Leader - All of the above listed attributes, you can only be removed by another fellow leader.
Clan Commands
/c : Lists online members of your clan that are on the same continent as you, their current state of health, and current location.
/cc MESSAGE : Clan chat used to display a MESSAGE to all online clan members on the same continent as you, but it now works on both continents. Note that /cc can be replaced by a single apostrophe ( ' ).
/ccreate CLANNAME : For a cost of 100,000 gold, creates a clan of name CLANNAME, with you as clan leader.
/cdisband : Removes yourself from your current clan.
/cg MESSAGE : This command is now the same as /cc. Note that /cg can be replaced by a semicolon ( ; ).
/cinvite NAME : Invites person NAME to join your clan. (clan leader only)
/cjoin NAME : Confirms that you want to join the clan of the player who invited you. Automatically disbands you from your current clan, if any.
/cappoint NAME : Appoints the target as a leader of the clan. (clan leader only)
/cremove NAME : Removes (kicks) the target from your clan. (clan leader only)
/cpromote NAME : Promotes a regular member to the rank of captain, and a captain to the rank of general. (clan leader only)
/cdemote NAME : Demotes members from their rank. (clan leader only)
/cnews : Displays the clan news.
/cnews set MESSAGE : Edits the clan news (clan leader only).
/croster : Displays all the clan members, whether they are online or not.
How to make a Clan
Making a clan is a fairly simple to do, just very costly.
You need 100,000 gold on the character you wish to make a clan with.
/ccreate "CLANNAME" Replace "CLANNAME" with the name of the clan you wish to make. Swear words, vulgar terms and racially derogatory terms are not acceptable for clan names, use common sense and correct spelling when you choose a name, you only get one shot at it. NOTE: You will be jailed for using any of the above mentions items in a clan name.
Alternatively, you can destroy a clan by remove all of the members with a leader, and /cdisbanding yourself.
Clan Alignment
Good clans, bad clans and those people just don't even notice. A clan's personal alignment (whether they have a reputation for drop stealing, etc.) is there own.. but most clans nowadays adopt a general alignment, either APK, PK or PKK.
- APK clans are a group of people that won't kill other players outside of a mosh or arena - They're pretty neutral but will fight back if attacked. (aka 'non-pk')
- PK clans will kill other players for the fun of it and sometimes have little spots they like to sit at, waiting for their prey to walk by. They'll hunt in packs or on their own, but are usually pretty awesome people =)
- PKK clans are the vigilantes of the realms. I like to think that a bunch of APKers got fed up with being tormented and decided to step up and hunt the PKers. There's always something out there to hunt the hunters.

Spare Notes
Not really much to go here but I wasn't sure where else I could mention this. Most clans, and rogue players, can/have adopted a KoS List. Pray you're never unlucky enough to end up on one of these, as KoS stands for 'Kill on Sight'. You're a roaming bounty for any clannie that sees you.
